In addition to being a fine arts program, the Dance Program at Grissom High School is a PE alternative. Students will understand dance as a physical pursuit and an artform of expression. As students progress through the proficiency levels, they will gain a capacity for dance literacy that includes creating dance, performing dance, responding to dance, and connecting dance with skills across arts disciplines. 
The Grissom Dance Program performs 1 concert per semester, at which time students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to execute technical dance movement in various genres of dance with appropriate use of dynamics and energy.
